Fort Worth, TX – In cooperation with the Mann Packing recall of minimally processed vegetable products due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, Randalls, Tom Thumb and Albertsons stores in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas only are voluntarily recalling Ready. Chef. Go! seafood meal bags. The bags include vegetables that are subject to the Mann Packing recall.
Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
This recall impacts only the Ready. Chef. Go! products listed below with Sell Thru Dates up to and including 10-22-17 (October 22, 2017). The products are packaged in clear cooking bags and are sold from refrigerated cases in the meat/seafood department or from mobile refrigerated merchandise cases. The UPC code and Sell Thru Date can be found on the store scale label.
